First Baptist Church of Vincentown just completed a retreat weekend in the Hoener Inn facility at Camp Lebanon.  When I saw their name on the retreat schedule I was very surprised as they have never been active at Camp Lebanon during my time here.  I spoke to Pastor Vars and asked him to share his story of how they found their way to camp.  Here is Pastor Vars story.

When I came to Vincentown almost eight years ago, I was very much excited about ABCNJ's Health and Faithfulness initiative.  We took part in that initiative and in the "Jesus Christ From Cover to Cover" opportunity as well.  Dr. Spitzer was very generous with his time and led two events at Vincentown over those years.  Recently when Dr. Spitzer encouraged churches to reach out in service to others, we began with work days at Riverview Estates and Baptist Camp Lebanon.  Our experience with Camp Lebanon has been nothing short of wonderful.  Hilary (Gierman) has made our trips there a real delight.  We look forward to our next work day in October 2012 and our next snow camp at Lebanon in 2013!

A church that desired to become stronger in ministry found a new way to experience a deeper relationship within the ABCNJ family!  Working together we become stronger.
