ABCNJ Awarded Grant to Strengthen Parents in Faith Formation

ABCNJ was awarded a Palmer Grant through the Multi Regional Corporation. Our project, “Flourishing in Exile: Strengthening the Faith of Parents,” will provide resources and educational opportunities for parents and congregations. This initiative continues our legacy of nurturing a new generation of faithful disciples in the region.

As part of a multi-year initiative to shape the spiritual landscape of a new generation, we will work alongside an initial cohort of 30 individuals to help strengthen the faith of our parents. These individuals will come from 6-8 of our covenanting churches.

Our aim is to discover and share effective ways for parents to weave faith formation into daily activities. We will likewise seek to assist congregations in moving beyond information-sharing instruction modes to implementing incarnational discipleship models.

As a prerequisite for being considered, churches need to have at least one participant, preferably a parent, register and attend the Hope Learning Webinar on “Strengthening the Faith of Parents” during Annual Session Week.
