Cultivating Healthy Boundaries
Pastoral ministry in today’s complex social system is a demanding and difficult calling. Burnout, ethical failings, dryness, conflicts and communication problems are only a few challenges that plague ministry leaders. Cultivating healthy boundaries is an integral part of clergy wellness and congregational vitality.
One of the ways that ABCNJ seeks to help our clergy be healthy leaders and relevant in their ministries is by providing continuing education opportunities. The Lexington Theological Seminary is offering an online course on Clergy Wellness: Cultivating Healthy Boundaries in Ministry. The course will be taught by the Rev. Dr. Yvonne Martinez Thorne, an American Baptist ordained pastor, counselor and founder and CEO of Cultivating Wholeness Counseling Associates.
The course will be offered on August 4, 2018 from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. It is available for the first 95 people who register. Registration is $75.00. The deadline to register is August 2, 2018. Please click/tap on the link for a full description of the course and registration.
